Sentry-6002 NEMA 4 protection grade battery monitoring system for 120V and 240VDC

Sentry-6002NEMA is a powerful battery monitoring system for substations with vented (flooded) or valve regulated lead acid batteries. It has been re-designed based upon our field proven BM6500 (1996) and BM6800 (2007) models to provide effective remote battery management according to the IEEE updated standards:

Main Features

  • Ultra precise IR (Internal Resistance / Conductance) measurement for each cell detects dry-out and deterioration/capacity loss long before a problem occurs
  • Discriminate inter-cell and battery to bus connection resistance to identify connection problem without a discharge

  • IP65 (NEMA4) grade protection allows unit(s) to be installed inside the battery room. Compact design allows for easy installation on a rack or wall

Ordering

Hardware

  1. Each Sentry-6002W2 unit monitors 60x2V cells at 2-wire mode.
    For 125VDC (60x2V), one unit for each string
    For 250VDC (120x2V), two units for each string
    For 480V UPS (240x2V), four units for each string.
    Each unit comes with 2 temperature sensors for ambient and pilot temperature.
  2. Unit comes with onboard Ethernet DTU. If wireless DTU is preferred, an activated SIM card (GSM) is needed.
  3. Order O-ring leads, specify 6mm (1/4"), 8mm(5/16") or 10mm(3/8"). 
  4. Order current sensor if needed. Default window size: 15mmx20mm, close loop 300A (peak current 600A). Other size/range and split-core sensor may have longer lead time.
  5. A HMI touch display is recommended for field service. 
  6. Optional 12-conductor 20AWG cable, calculate the length.
